On the Bertazzoni PRO36RT5ICAT knob-controlled induction rangetop, an L on the display means the child lock is on. The rangetop is locked against accidental use. It is set with every zone off by turning the knobs of zones 1 and 2 to the left until L appears. The owner sees the L and finds the zones will not start when the other knobs are turned.
1. Make sure all zones are off. 2. Turn the knobs of zones 1 and 2 to the left again, the same way that set the lock, until the L goes out. 3. Try a zone with a pan to confirm it responds. 4. Keep the knobs off while wiping the panel. 5. If the L will not clear, call us.
The child lock may be on, shown by an L on the display. It locks the rangetop against accidental use. It is set with the zones off by turning the knobs of zones 1 and 2 to the left until L appears.
With all zones off, turn the knobs of zones 1 and 2 to the left until the L appears. If you want it off and the L stays, call us and we will walk you through it.
No. It is a safety feature meant to stop children from switching a zone on. A service call is only needed if the L will not clear when it should.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
