Bertazzoni MAS365GASXV Gas Range Service

Bertazzoni range

Most common issues on this model

  1. Slow return to temperature in the big oven after opening the door
  2. Discolored broiler surface that burns in patches
  3. Simmer flame that wanders at the lowest setting
  4. A stalled convection fan pulling the bake off balance
  5. Door gasket squashed in the corners and letting heat out

The MAS365GASXV is a 36-inch all-gas range with the largest oven in the Master gas line, so it tends to anchor an open kitchen and gets used for batch cooking. A cavity that big loses heat quickly when the door opens, and the gasket carries a lot of the work of keeping it in.

We check the door seal around all four corners, then watch how fast the oven returns to temperature after the door has been opened. The infrared broiler is lit and inspected for an uneven burning pattern. On the cooktop we run the simmer burner at its lowest point and see whether the flame wanders or goes out.

Both convection fans are tested for rotation. If a gas smell is ever present, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. We quote a written price first and give a 30-day workmanship warranty.

MAS365GASXVMAS365GASXV questions
Why does my big oven take so long to heat back up after opening the door?

A worn gasket lets heat out, and a tired sensor or valve slows the return. We check the seal, measure gas pressure and the sensor, and fix whichever is dragging the recovery.

My simmer flame goes up and down. Can that be corrected?

A wandering simmer flame often comes from partly blocked ports or a low-flow setting that needs adjusting. We clean the burner and set the minimum flow so the flame holds steady without blowing out.

What does a patchy broiler flame tell you?

It usually means the infrared surface has degraded or the ports behind it are clogged. We inspect the burner face, clean it if we can, and replace the broiler burner when the surface is worn through.
