Bertazzoni PROF304DFSXT Dual Fuel Fix

The PROF304DFSXT blends gas and electric: four brass burners on the cooktop and an electric self-clean oven. At 30 inches it fits a standard range opening, but it needs both a gas connection and a dedicated electric line, so kitchens updated from an all-gas range sometimes need an electrician first.
Brass burners hold their shape well but still collect residue around the ports and caps. We clean them, seat the caps flat and test each igniter. In the oven we examine the door lock, which does the most work during a self-clean cycle, along with the bake element and temperature sensor. A gas smell means leaving the house and calling the gas utility from outside.
We confirm the price in writing before work starts and back repairs with our 30-day workmanship warranty.
Use a soft brush and mild soapy water, then dry them well. Avoid abrasive pads that scratch the brass, and make sure the ports are clear before you set the caps back.
The latch and lock motor can get slow after high heat. Let the oven cool fully first. If it remains locked, we test the lock switch and latch and release it without damage.
We check the oven with a separate thermometer, then test the sensor. A drifting sensor is a common reason, and it can often be corrected without replacing the whole control.
