Bertazzoni CB36M600X Rangetop Repair

The CB36M600X puts six gas burners in a 36-inch Master Series rangetop. As with other rangetops, there is no oven below it, so the cabinet space under the cooktop holds the gas connection and the wiring, and a wall oven or a separate cooking surface supplies the baking. Daily cooking puts the most wear on the front burners.
We go through the six burners systematically, noting which light instantly and which hesitate. A slow burner usually has a spill in its port or a tired igniter. We clean, reseat and test, then check the ignition module and its wiring if the problem spreads to more than one burner. If gas can be smelled, stop and call the gas utility from outdoors.
The price is put in writing before work starts, and a 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.
Usually its igniter is dirty or weak, or a port is partly blocked. We clean the burner and test the igniter's spark rather than replacing the module for one slow burner.
A lifted flame is a sign something is wrong with airflow, a seated cap or a clogged port. Turn the burner off and call us if cleaning does not settle it.
Hand washing is safer. Soak the parts in warm soapy water, brush the ports gently and dry everything fully before reassembling. Heat and detergent can dull brass, and trapped water in the ports delays lighting later on.
