On current Bertazzoni Heritage, Professional and Master dishwashers such as the DW24T3IXV, DW24S2IPV and DW18S2IXV, F8 means a heater error. The dishwasher is not heating water the way the cycle needs, and the recommended step is to contact service. The cycle stops with F8 showing, and dishes may be left wet with food still on them because the water stayed cool.
1. Press Cancel and let the dishwasher drain. 2. Open the door and see if the water and inside are warm after a short run. 3. Reset by switching the breaker off for one minute and on again. 4. Run one short cycle. 5. If F8 comes back, leave the dishwasher off and call us.
The code names it directly as a heater error. The dishwasher may fill and wash, but the water will not be warm, and the control stops the cycle.
F6 refers to the heater sensor, which reads temperature. F8 refers to the heater itself. A technician checks both because one can look like the other.
Running hot tap water into the dishwasher does not fix F8 and may not let the cycle finish. Call us to test the heating circuit.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
