Bertazzoni CB48M6G00X Griddle Rangetop

A 48-inch Master Series rangetop, the CB48M6G00X combines six gas burners with a griddle. There is no oven, so it is installed in a long counter run with a hood overhead and cabinetry beneath. Griddles collect grease, so it is the surface that most often needs attention after the burners.
We start with the griddle: lighting it, watching the flame along its length and seeing whether the plate heats evenly. Then we clear the grease channel, because grease buildup is a common reason for poor performance. After that come the six burners, with igniter tests and a port cleaning. Gas odor means leaving the home and calling the gas utility from outside.
The price is given in writing ahead of the repair, and we cover our work for 30 days.
The flame under that end may be weak from a clogged port. We clean the burner, check the flame along its length and confirm the plate sits flat.
After every few uses, or sooner for heavy cooking. A full tray backs grease toward the burner area and can cause smoke. Wipe the tray too, because old grease left in it can smoke the next time the griddle runs.
Light smoke can come from residue on a new or freshly cleaned plate. Persistent smoke means grease buildup or a flame running too high, and we check both.
