Bertazzoni MAST366RTXE Gas Rangetop Repair

Six gas burners sit in the 36-inch MAST366RTXE, a Master Series drop-in rangetop with continuous cast-iron grates. With no oven built in, it goes into a countertop cutout and pairs with a separate wall oven or cabinetry, so the gas line usually comes up through the cabinet below. Access for service is from above and from the cabinet.
Sealed burners keep spills on the surface, but a boil-over can still run into a port or onto an igniter. We lift the grates and caps, clean each port and test the spark at every burner. When several burners misbehave together, we look at the ignition module and its wiring under the cabinet. Any gas smell means leaving the home and calling the gas utility from outside.
A written price comes first, and our work is covered for 30 days.
The rangetop has no oven, so most owners install a wall oven nearby. The two are separate appliances, and a problem with one will not affect the other.
Electronic ignition sparks at the burners together, which is normal. If a burner keeps clicking after it lights, moisture or residue near the igniter may be the cause.
Let them cool, then wash with warm soapy water and dry them immediately to stop rust. Do not scrub the burner ports with metal tools, since damaged ports burn unevenly.
