Our High Island work covers Bertazzoni ranges, cooktops, refrigerators, freezers and dishwashers. Use the website or the phone line, and the visit joins our Bolivar Peninsula run.

Local housing, power events, water conditions, and installation styles all affect how we approach Bertazzoni diagnostics here.
Settlement began with Martin Dunman in 1845, followed by a post office in 1897. Oil was struck in the surrounding marshes during the 1930s, when flowing wells once encircled the dome, and by 2014 about 300 people lived here.
That small population lives in practical, full-size homes. Before a Bertazzoni visit we ask how old the kitchen is and where the freezer sits.
Water is delivered by the Bolivar Peninsula Special Utility District, whose eastern outpost is High Island. In 2004 groundwater wells were retired, and surface water treated by the Lower Neches Valley Authority near Winnie took their place.
A kitchen plumbed in the well era may have older lines, so we check screens and filters on a Bertazzoni dishwasher or refrigerator dispenser early. Hardness settings follow.
Many houses stand well back from tide water compared with the beach towns, thanks to the high ground, yet Gulf humidity and salt reach them anyway. Pollen and falling leaves come from the woods near the bird sanctuaries.
Pollen and leaves find their way onto outdoor condensers and refrigerator grilles, so we clean those on Bertazzoni units kept in garages. A clear grille helps a compressor run less in summer.
Practical, full-size appliances are typical in High Island: an ordinary refrigerator, a dishwasher of 24 inches and a complete laundry set. A few owners add a freezer just for hunting and fishing season.
A Bertazzoni refrigerator, freezer and 24-inch dishwasher fit that layout, and the seasonal freezer gets checked for gasket and defrost trouble first. A range gets burner and oven tests.
High Island lies near the point where Highways 87 and 124 meet, closer to Winnie than to Galveston, so our route usually follows I-10 and bypasses the ferry. Bookings are made ahead and combined with other Bolivar Peninsula calls. A nameplate photo with the request helps us pack parts.
Each spring birders crowd two Houston Audubon sanctuaries, Smith Oaks and Louis Smith, and parking along the roads tightens. If your home is close to either, say so when you book and keep the refrigerator’s bottom grille free of leaves and pollen. If the breaker cuts out every time the freezer compressor starts, an electrician should look first.
We do. Peninsula visits are grouped, with the approach often via I-10 and Winnie, so give an address and we name the next day on that route.
See that the door seals tightly, the coil is clean and the cabinet has some room. A freezer that still never stops, or builds frost fast, may need a new gasket or defrost work, and we can test both.
Spring crowds affect parking and traffic around the sanctuaries; we allow for them and settle an arrival time with you.
