On Bertazzoni ranges with an oven temperature indicator, such as the PRO365ICFEPXT and MAS365ICFEPXT, a thermometer dial shows the temperature in the middle of the oven. The dial starts to move toward the set temperature and is for reference only. It can read differently from the knob setting or from an oven thermometer. The owner sees the pointer lag or settle away from the setting.
1. Wait for the oven to finish preheating. 2. Place an oven thermometer on the middle rack and compare. 3. Base your cooking on the temperature set on the knob. 4. Avoid opening the door while checking. 5. If baking is consistently off, call us.
Cook by the temperature set on the knob. The dial is a reference point that shows the heat rising toward your setting, not a precision gauge, so a small difference is expected.
Use an oven thermometer on the center rack after about 20 minutes of preheating. If it differs a lot from the knob, we can look at the oven control for you.
It is a reference dial, so there is nothing to adjust. If baking results are consistently off from the knob setting, the oven control may need checking.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
