On Bertazzoni DFS XT self-clean dual-fuel ranges with indicator lights, such as the PRO304DFSXT and MAS365DFSXT, a PRE-HEATING light that blinks with an alarm reports a cooling fan failure, the same alarm as on the XV built-in ovens. The fans keep the controls and cabinet cool. The owner sees the blinking light and hears the beep, and it returns within seconds if the fans are not repaired.
1. Turn the selectors to OFF and let the oven cool for about 15 minutes. 2. Check that no items block the vents and the surrounding gap is clear. 3. Restart with a simple bake and watch whether the alarm returns. 4. If it does, stop using the oven and call us.
The cooling fan is not working. The range warns you because the controls and the cabinet rely on it to stay cool while the oven is on.
The light looks the same, but a wrong knob selection also makes it blink. Check the knobs first; if they are right and the alarm sounds, the cooling fans are the cause.
The gas burners are separate from the oven, but we suggest getting the oven checked soon. We quote the price in writing before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
