What Upper or lower zone too warm means

On Bertazzoni built-in wine columns with a TFT display, such as the REF24WCPIXR and REF18WCPRL, "Upper zone too warm" or "Lower zone too warm" appears when that zone is warmer than the temperature you chose. The screen sends you to the troubleshooting guide. You may feel the glass of the bottles warm, and the compressor may run longer than usual.

Common causes of Upper or lower zone too warm

A door left open or a gasket that does not seal
A condenser grille covered in dust
A recent load of room-temperature bottles
A sensor, fan or cooling part that cannot hold the zone at its setpoint

✓ One safe check you can try

1. Close the door fully and check the gasket. 2. Vacuum the grille at the base of the column. 3. Leave the setpoint alone for several hours. 4. Check the zone with a thermometer among the bottles. 5. If the message persists, call us.

A cooling or sensor cause cannot be seen from the front of the column.
Opening the door repeatedly to check keeps the zone warm.
Cleaning the condenser behind the grille is not safe with the power connected.
