Bertazzoni MAS244GASXV Range Service

The MAS244GASXV is the other 24-inch all-gas range in the Master Series, and like its sibling it is built for small kitchens: guest houses, garage apartments, downtown condos and galley layouts. With four burners and gas heat throughout, it has no electronics to fail except the spark system, which keeps most calls simple.
As these ranges age, the common trouble is dirt rather than parts. Grease and sugar creep into burner ports and onto the igniter tip, and a yellow or lazy flame tells us the air mix is off. We clear the ports, check the burner base seating, then run the oven through a heat-up to see whether it holds the temperature you set.
If you notice a gas smell, step outside and call the gas utility first. Once the house is safe, call us and we will schedule the visit with a written price up front.
A yellow, flickering flame usually means blocked ports or a poor air mix, and it can leave soot on cookware. We clean the ports and adjust the burner. If the yellow persists with a gas smell, shut it off and call the utility.
We check the temperature sensor and the thermostat reading against a test thermometer, then look at the oven door seal for leaks. A sensor that has drifted is the usual reason, and replacing it brings the oven back in line.
If a burner will not light and you can see crusted spills, lifting the cap and clearing the ports with a soft brush is safe when the range is off and cool. If it still clicks without lighting, the igniter needs a look.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
