On Bertazzoni DFS XT dual-fuel ranges, such as the MAS365DFSXT and PRO366DFSXT, burner igniters that do not click or spark point to a tripped circuit, a blown fuse, or a range that is not connected to power. The gas burners rely on an electric spark to light. The owner turns a knob, hears no clicking and sees no spark, and may find the oven dead as well.
1. Check that the range clock or oven light is working. 2. Reset the breaker once if it tripped, or check the fuse. 3. Make sure the range is plugged in or properly connected after any move. 4. Dry the burners if they are wet and try again. 5. If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside.
Not necessarily. The click comes from the electric igniters, so if they are silent the cause is more likely power than gas. Check the breaker and the fuse before anything else.
Only if you are sure there is no gas smell and you know your range allows it. When in doubt, do not. Call us and we will restore the ignition safely.
