Bertazzoni REF24WCPRR/23 Wine Column Repair

Bertazzoni wine cooler

Most common issues on this model

  1. Temperature drifting off setting
  2. Compressor running too often
  3. Seal letting warm air in
  4. Fan noise or airflow trouble

The REF24WCPRR/23 is a 24-inch built-in wine cellar column that holds 80 bottles, offered across the Heritage, Master and Professional Series. Other versions sold under this base are REF24WCPIXR, REF24WCPIXR/23, REF24WCPRR, REF24WCPRL/23 and REF24WCPIXL/23. Collectors often place it in a tall cabinet wall next to a refrigerator or freezer column.

With 80 bottles inside, a cabinet this size needs steady airflow from top to bottom. If the fan slows, upper shelves warm while lower ones stay cool. The compressor works longer when the seal is worn, which shows up as more noise and higher temperatures.

We measure the temperature at several shelves, check the fan and gasket, and listen to the compressor. Our work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty. Where possible, we keep the bottles in the cabinet during short checks and move them only when the job needs a longer power-off. We also leave the shelves as we found them, so your bottle layout stays the same.

REF24WCPRR/23REF24WCPRR/23 questions
Why are the top bottles warmer than the bottom ones?

Uneven temperature points to weak airflow. The fan may be slow, or a shelf layout may block the vents. We test the fan and clear the airflow so the whole column holds an even temperature.

Should I empty the column before service?

Not always. If we only need to test the fan or the seal, bottles can stay in. For a sealed-system repair or a long job, we recommend moving them to a cool spot.

How loud should an 80-bottle column be?

It is rated at 41 dBA, which is quiet. You may hear the compressor start and a gentle fan. A buzz, a grind or a knock is not normal, and we find the source with the cabinet running.
