On Bertazzoni KMC30X, KMC36X and KMC48X chimney hoods, the S1 LED signals filter saturation. A steady S1 is the metal grease filter alarm after 100 working hours: wash the filters. A flashing S1, if the charcoal alarm is enabled, means the activated charcoal filter is saturated after 200 hours: change it and wash the grease filters. The owner sees only the LED while the hood keeps running.
1. Switch the motor and lights off. 2. Wash the metal grease filters and let them dry. 3. Replace the charcoal filter if S1 was flashing. 4. Hold the reset for about 2 seconds with the motor and lights off. 5. If S1 returns at once, call us.
A steady S1 means wash the metal grease filters. A flashing S1 means replace the activated charcoal filter and wash the grease filters as well.
Hold the reset for about 2 seconds with the motor and lights off. The LED goes out and the hour count restarts from zero, ready for the next grease or charcoal reminder.
Only if it is enabled on your hood. Otherwise you will see just the steady grease alarm after 100 working hours, and the flashing charcoal reminder will not appear at all.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
