Bertazzoni HER486IGFEPXT Induction Range Service

The HER486IGFEPXT is a 48-inch induction range in the Heritage Series, with six heating zones, a cast-iron griddle and an electric self-clean oven. It runs on a large electrical circuit with no gas connection, which makes it a common choice when a kitchen is rebuilt around induction.
We try every zone with a pan under load for several minutes, then listen to the cooling fan and note how long it stays on after the range is off. The cast-iron plate goes over its zone to check how heat travels across it. The oven latch is cycled last, and any zone that drops out is measured on its own.
Expect a written price before we order any part, and a 30-day workmanship warranty on the work.
The zone may be shutting itself off to protect its electronics, or the pan signal may be dropping. We check airflow and the fan first, then run the zone at full power and test its power module.
Make sure the cast-iron plate is seated flat and centered on its zone. If it is, we test the zone's output and the contact surface, since a rocking plate or a weak zone both leave cold areas.
The fan runs while the electronics are warm and for some time afterward. If it never stops, the temperature sensor or the fan control may be reading wrong, and we measure both to find the cause.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
