Bertazzoni MAS486GGASBG Gas Range and Griddle Repair

Gas fuels every part of the MAS486GGASBG, from the six burners and griddle to the oven, and the gold accents make it a visual centerpiece. It is also sold as the MAS486GGASNG, and the main oven has 4.7 cubic feet of space.
At 48 inches this range is usually fitted into a wall of cabinetry with a dedicated gas line and strong ventilation above it. When we arrive we look at the burner area first, because a griddle and six burners generate more grease and spilled food than a smaller top. The main oven comes next: we time the igniter, listen for the valve to open and check that the flame spreads evenly along the burner.
If you smell gas, leave the house at once and call the gas utility from outside.
The main oven measures 4.7 cubic feet. Because it relies on gas ignition, a slow light is the signal to test the igniter, which we do by measuring its current and watching the valve open.
Yellow usually means the air-fuel mix is off, often from blocked ports or grease on the burner. We clean it thoroughly, reseat the cap and check that the flame returns to a steady blue.
The burners need electric power for the spark, so a dead outlet or tripped breaker can stop them from lighting. We check the supply first, then the spark module and igniters.
