Bertazzoni MD24X Microwave Drawer Service

The MD24X is a 24-inch microwave drawer for the Master and Professional lines, installed below counter height or inside an island. It opens like a drawer, so there is no door to hold while loading.
Service starts with the drawer movement: the tracks, the opening mechanism and the switch that tells the control the drawer has closed. If those are fine, we test the heating system and the controls. A drawer that closes just short of the switch can look like a dead microwave, so we check that before anything else, and we give you a written price for any repair first. Repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty, and we test a full cycle with a cup of water before we leave.
A drawer that is not fully closed will not start. We check the closed-position switch, clean the tracks and make sure nothing is blocking the travel. If those pass, we test the heating system.
It is best to stop using it until the drawer closes smoothly and fully. A drawer that does not seat can fail to start or put stress on the mechanism. Wipe the front edge and call us if it still sticks.
Let the unit cool, wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild soap, and dry it. Keep liquid out of the tracks and switch area. Spills that run into the slides are a common cause of sticking.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
