Bertazzoni PRO304INSX Induction Range

The PRO304INSX is a 30-inch Professional Series range that combines four induction zones with an electric self-clean oven. Owners usually put it in a standard range opening and rely on the self-clean cycle to keep the oven tidy, which means the door lock and the oven sensor work harder than they would on a plain oven.
After a self-clean, we often find that the lock motor or latch has been stressed by the heat, so a door that will not release is a typical call. We check the latch, the lock switch and the oven sensor, and compare the oven’s actual temperature with the display. On the cooktop we test each zone with a magnetic pan and listen for the cooling fan under the glass.
Expect a written price up front and a 30-day workmanship warranty on what we repair.
Not dangerous, but do not force it. The latch usually releases once the oven cools. If it stays stuck, we test the lock motor and switch and free the latch without bending the door.
Run it only when the oven really needs it. Heavy spills are better wiped up first, because a long cycle on thick residue puts the most stress on the lock and the sensor.
Zone detection depends on the pan's base material and size. A pan with a thin or warped base can fail to register. If your magnetic pans are also ignored, we test the zone's electronics.
