On Bertazzoni KPH36XT, KPH48XT, KPH362XT and KPH482XT range hoods, the A key blinks to ask for filter care. A slow flash every 2 seconds means the anti-grease filters must be washed. A fast flash every 0.5 seconds means the active carbon filters must be replaced. Holding the A key for about 5 seconds resets the reminder. The owner sees only the blinking key; the hood keeps working.
1. Note the flash speed: slow means wash, fast means replace. 2. Remove the metal grease filters and wash them in warm soapy water or the dishwasher, then dry fully. 3. Replace carbon filters with the matching type if the flash is fast. 4. Refit the filters and hold the A key for about 5 seconds to reset. 5. If the key keeps flashing after a reset, call us.
A flash every 2 seconds means the anti-grease filters need washing. A flash every 0.5 seconds means the active carbon filters need replacing. Learn to count the speed before you decide which service is due.
Hold the A key for about 5 seconds after servicing the filters. The reminder clears and the hood starts counting again for the next interval.
Only if the hood recirculates air instead of venting outside. If it ducts outdoors, the fast flash does not apply to you and the wash reminder is the one you will see.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
