On Bertazzoni built-in wine columns with a TFT display, such as the REF24WCPIXR and REF18WCPRL, "Door open" appears a few minutes after the door has been opened. The message is a reminder to close the door. Closing it fully clears the message, and the wine stays in good shape as long as the door is not left open for hours.
1. Close the door and check that every bottle sits inside the rack. 2. Wipe the gasket with warm water and dry it. 3. Open and close the door slowly and watch the message. 4. Check that the column is level in its opening. 5. If the message stays with the door closed, call us.
The message appears after the door has been open a few minutes, so short openings while you pick a bottle do not trigger it. If you are reorganizing the bottles, expect the message and simply close the door when finished.
Look for a bottle that holds the door off, or a gasket fold. If both are fine, the door switch may not be registering the closed position, and we can test it.
Not from a few minutes. Wine reacts slowly to temperature changes. A door that stays open for hours is different, so close it and let the zones recover.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
