Bertazzoni HER486IGFEPXG Induction Range Service

The HER486IGFEPXG is a 48-inch Heritage Series induction range, normally placed in a wall niche or between tall cabinets with a dedicated electrical supply. The retro knobs hide fairly modern electronics, and most of what goes wrong lives in the power section under the glass.
Our first step is to put a heavy pan on each of the six zones and run them hard for several minutes, since a zone that works on a short test can still drop out once the electronics warm up. We then listen to the cooling fan in the plinth and check the glass read-out behind each knob.
The two ovens are tested separately. A failed element in the auxiliary oven is easy to miss because the main oven keeps working. We quote a written price first and stand behind repairs with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Induction zones protect their electronics from heat, and a clogged cooling path or a tired power module can trip that protection early. We run the zone under load, check the fan and airflow, and test the module before replacing anything.
The fan runs while the electronics are warm and for a while afterward. If it never stops, the temperature sensor on the electronics or the fan control may be reading wrong, and we measure both on site.
We make sure the cast-iron plate is seated flat and centered over its zone, then test the zone itself. A plate that rocks even slightly leaves cold patches, and cleaning the contact surface often restores even heat.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
