Bertazzoni PRO486IGFEPCAT Induction Range Service

The PRO486IGFEPCAT is a 48-inch induction range for kitchens that have a large electric feed and no gas. With six zones rated up to 3,700 W, a cast-iron griddle and two ovens, there is plenty of electronics under the surface that needs airflow.
We test each zone under real load for several minutes, because a drop-out can appear only after the electronics warm up. The plinth fan is listened to for bearing noise and for how long it keeps running. Then we turn to the ovens: the small oven’s broiler element is measured, and the main oven is baked with a tray to find the diagonal pattern if there is one.
The segments on each knob read-out are checked, since a missing segment is a clue to a loose connection. We quote in writing before any part is ordered.
The zone may be shutting itself down to protect the electronics. We check the fan, the airflow path, and the zone's driver, then run it at full power to see whether it repeats.
The diagonal convection design depends on both fans. If one slows, heat shifts to one side. We test fan speed and the oven sensor, then repeat a tray bake to confirm the correction.
Yes. We measure the element to confirm it is open, then replace it and test the oven through a full broil cycle. The main oven is not affected, as the two ovens have separate elements.
