Bertazzoni MAST304INMXE Induction Range Troubleshooting

Compared with its gas siblings, the MAST304INMXE trades flames for four induction zones, so it appears in kitchens where speed and a flat, easy-to-clean surface matter more than a visible flame. An electric oven below handles the baking, and a dedicated circuit feeds the whole range.
What we see most is fan trouble and pan trouble. The fan beneath the surface pulls dust and sometimes starts to grind, and a warped or non-magnetic pan makes a zone behave as if it were broken. After pans and fan, we test the zone’s coil and power board, then check the oven’s bake element and sensor in the usual way.
We give a written price before work begins.
If a zone has gone dark, try a different magnetic pan before you call, and tell us what you saw on the display. A written price comes before any repair, and it is covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty.
That is the cooling fan, usually loaded with dust or beginning to fail. We clean the fan path and test the motor, replacing it if it grinds, since an overheated zone shuts itself off.
It protects itself when it detects heat, a pan problem or a supply fluctuation. We check the cookware, airflow and circuit, then test the power board for the zone that triggered the shutdown.
Not unless its base is magnetic. Induction heats magnetic metal, so cast iron and many stainless pans work. A magnet that clings to the bottom confirms a pan will heat.
