Bertazzoni KPH362XT Chimney Hood Service
KPH362XT is a 36-inch wall-mount chimney hood with two motors and a combined rating of 1200 CFM. Its style fits the Heritage, Master and Professional families, so it often sits above a 36-inch range in a traditional or transitional kitchen.
The chimney is a shaped cover that hides the ductwork, and it can carry vibration the way a speaker cabinet does. When the hood hums, we check whether the sound comes from the motors or the cover. Then we test each motor on its own, clean the filters, and inspect the wheels. Two motors mean two sets of wiring to follow. We also confirm the damper opens fully when both motors run.
You receive a written price in advance, and a 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.
We run the hood with the cover supported and listen for a change. A cover that buzzes only at certain speeds is loose, while a hum at every speed points to a motor or wheel.
They are meant to run together to reach 1200 CFM. If only one starts, we test the other motor, its capacitor and wiring to find the cause, then price the repair for you in writing.
Some film is normal, but heavy grease on the duct or blower housing adds weight and can drip. We clean what we can reach and check the electrical connections for residue.
