Bertazzoni KU48PRO2X/14 Dual-Motor 48-Inch Hood
The KU48PRO2X/14 is a 48-inch wall-mount canopy hood with two motors and a maximum extraction power of 1200 CFM. Its sound rating of 1.6 to 10.6 Sones spans a quiet setting to a powerful one. It is the match for a 48-inch range used for serious cooking.
At 1200 CFM, the hood pulls a great deal of air through its filters, and grease collects accordingly. When a call comes in, we run both motors and note which one is slower. We clean the filters, check each wheel for buildup, and test the capacitors and wiring. Lights and controls are the final stop.
You get a written price before work begins, and we stand behind the repair with a 30-day warranty.
You can, at reduced strength, but capture will be well below 1200 CFM. We suggest limiting heavy cooking until we test each motor and its wiring.
A rumble at mid speeds often comes from one wheel with uneven grease. We clean both wheels, check the mounts, and run through each speed to confirm the vibration is gone.
Powerful hoods can pull air from the house, and some localities require make-up air. That is a question for the installer or local code, and we can check that the hood itself is working properly.
