Current Bertazzoni induction cooktops, including the PE304TX, PE365TB and PE304HB, plus the radiant PE304CER, have a built-in cooking time limit. A zone left on at one setting is switched off after a set time, from about 6 hours at low levels down to 1.5 hours at levels 7 to 9 and P on the touch-screen models. The radiant PE..CER allows 10 hours at levels 1 to 8 and 3 hours at 9. The whole cooktop also shuts off 20 seconds after all zones are off.
1. Turn the zone back on at the setting you want; the timer starts again. 2. Stir or adjust the power level during long cooking so the limit is not reached. 3. Place cookware back on an induction zone within a minute if you only lifted it briefly. 4. If a zone shuts off long before the limits above, note the level and call us.
On the touch-screen induction models it runs about 6 hours at low levels and about 1.5 hours at levels 7 to 9 and P. The radiant PE..CER allows 10 hours at levels 1 to 8 and 3 hours at level 9.
The cooktop switches off automatically 20 seconds after every cooking zone has been switched off. If you did turn the last zone off, the dark display is normal and nothing is wrong.
On the legacy P365IX the power drops to zero immediately and the controls turn the element off after one minute. Put the pan back before then and cooking continues.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
