Bertazzoni HER365ICFEPXT Induction Range Repair

Bertazzoni range

Most common issues on this model

  1. Induction zone cutting out under a heavy pan
  2. Griddle zone giving uneven heat
  3. Fan under the glass running loudly or without stopping
  4. Latch staying shut after the self-clean cycle

The HER365ICFEPXT is a 36-inch freestanding induction range in the Heritage Series, with five heating zones, a cast-iron griddle and an electric self-clean oven. With no gas involved, it usually sits in a kitchen that was wired with a dedicated high-capacity circuit for it.

On a visit we put a flat pan on each zone and run it hard, because a zone that drops out only after the electronics warm up will pass a short test. The griddle plate is set over its zone to see whether heat spreads to the edges, and we listen to the cooling fan for bearing noise.

The self-clean latch is then locked and released a few times. You will have a written price before any part is ordered, and our work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.

HER365ICFEPXTHER365ICFEPXT questions
Why does my induction zone stop when I use a heavy pan?

The zone may be shutting itself down to protect its electronics from heat, or the pan may be losing contact with the sensing area. We test airflow and the cooling fan first, then run the zone under load to check its power module.

How do I know whether the griddle plate is sitting correctly?

The cast-iron plate should lie flat and cover its zone evenly without rocking. If it rocks or the heat is patchy, we inspect the plate underside and the glass beneath it, and then test the zone itself.

The oven door stays locked after a self-clean cycle. What can be done?

Let the oven cool completely first. If the latch still holds, the latch motor or its switch is usually sticking from the heat, and we test the circuit and replace the part so the door locks and releases normally.
