Bertazzoni K36HERTX Heritage Hood Service
Matched to a Heritage Series range, the K36HERTX is a 36-inch wallmount canopy and base hood with a single motor and up to 600 CFM of extraction. Its rated sound range of 1.3 to 8.6 Sones runs from a quiet low setting to a loud top one, so noise changes are easy to judge.
When an owner says it is louder, we compare each speed against that range, inspect the blower wheel for grease build-up, and check the filters. Lights and the speed control are tested, and the ducting is looked over for kinks. Written pricing precedes any work, and each repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Please tell us which speed sounds different and whether the noise began after the filters were washed or the lights changed.
Grease on the blower wheel throws it off balance, which adds noise even at low speed. We clean the wheel, check the motor bearing and compare each speed with the hood's rated sound range.
The canopy lifts away from the base so we can reach the blower and wiring. We take care with the finish and put everything back in place before we leave.
It is the most air the hood can move at top speed. If your hood feels weaker, restricted filters or ducting are likelier than the motor, and we check both.
