Bertazzoni KMC36X 36-Inch Canopy Hood
KMC36X is the 36-inch version of the contemporary canopy hood, mounted on the wall with a single 600 CFM motor. It is also sold as KMC36BI and KMC36NE. The sound rating of 2.5 to 9.5 Sones is a little wider than on the 30-inch size.
You will typically see it centered above a 36-inch range or rangetop, with the canopy spreading steam across the width. Slow starting usually points to the motor or its capacitor, while a growing roar tends to come from grease on the blower wheel. We confirm which one by running the hood through every speed, then cleaning the filters and wheel before touching any part.
Written pricing comes first, and our work is covered for 30 days.
Slow starts often come from a weak capacitor or a stiff bearing. We turn the wheel by hand, test the capacitor, and check the motor current before recommending any parts.
It is the top end of the range at full speed. Normal use at medium speed should be well below that. If the medium setting sounds close to full speed, grease or a loose wheel is likely.
They are finish options of the same hood, so the working parts match. We check the filter fit on your unit and make sure the replacements suit its canopy before ordering anything.
