Bertazzoni KU24PRO1XV 24-Inch Wall Hood Repair
KU24PRO1XV is a 24-inch wall-mount canopy hood with a single motor and a maximum extraction power of 400 CFM. The sound rating is 1.0 to 4.9 Sones. It is usually installed above a compact range where noise matters in an open space.
With a lower airflow rating, this hood has less room to give away. A film of grease on the filters or the wheel takes a larger share of its performance, and the change is easy to notice. We start with the filters, then the wheel, then the motor’s behavior at low speed, where bearing wear shows first. Lamps and switches are tested last. A quick look at the wall bracket confirms the hood is hanging level.
You get a written price in advance. The repair is covered by a 30-day warranty.
The XV version is rated at 400 CFM with a sound rating of 1.0 to 4.9 Sones, while the /14 version is rated at 600 CFM. Both are 24-inch wall-mount canopies.
Low speed asks the motor to turn slowly, so a worn bearing or a weak capacitor shows up there first. We spin the motor, test the capacitor, and clean the wheel.
Metal filters usually last for years if cleaned regularly. Replace one that is bent, torn or no longer seats flat in its frame, and we can supply a match.
