Bertazzoni PROF304GASXT Gas Range Service

The PROF304GASXT is a legacy 30-inch gas Professional Series range, with four sealed brass burners and continuous cast-iron grates, usually in a standard freestanding opening beside a gas shutoff. Years of use leave grease and food debris around the burners, which is behind most of the calls we get.
We watch the spark at each burner and then check that the flame lights and stays lit. A burner that clicks and never catches is typically blocked at the port or has a worn electrode. In the oven, we compare temperature to the setting, test the convection fan, and cycle the door lock the way a self-clean would.
If you notice a gas smell, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. We always quote the price in writing before beginning.
Spark needs a clean port and a good electrode to ignite the gas. Grease and food often block the port. We clean the burner, check the electrode, and test the spark module if clicking continues.
Wait for the oven to cool completely. If the door is still locked, the latch motor or switch is probably stuck. We test and replace the latch so the door unlocks normally.
A burner that will not stay lit often has a clogged port, a misplaced cap, or a weak flame-sensing part. We clean and reseat the cap, check the sensing part, and replace it if the flame still drops out.
