On Bertazzoni knob-controlled 30-inch electric wall ovens such as the F30PROXV, F30CONXV and FD30PROXV, and on DFS XT dual-fuel ranges, a HEATING light that blinks while the alarm sounds means the oven's temperature sensor probe has failed. The cooling fans start by themselves. The buzzer keeps sounding until power to the oven is disconnected. You will hear the buzzer and the fans.
1. Turn both oven selectors to OFF to reset. 2. If the buzzer keeps sounding, switch the oven off at the circuit breaker. 3. Leave the door closed and let the oven cool. 4. Do not use the oven again. 5. Call us and tell us the model and what the lights did.
The alarm continues because the control sees no valid temperature reading. Disconnecting power at the circuit breaker stops it, and then a technician can test the probe.
The cooling fans come on automatically to pull heat away from the oven when the probe fails. They are doing their job and will stop once the oven has cooled.
No. The oven cannot control temperature without its probe, so keep it off. Call us and we will test the probe and give you a written price.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
