On Bertazzoni 30-inch combi-steam ovens such as the MAST30CSEX, PROF30CSEX, MASCS30X and PROCS30X, PUMP appears after switch-off while the oven pumps residual water back to the tank. The word stays on the display until the water temperature falls below 167F. It is part of the normal shutdown, so you only need to wait. Nothing is wrong while the word is showing, and the oven becomes usable again afterward.
1. Leave the oven door closed and let the pump finish. 2. Wait until PUMP disappears and the display returns to normal. 3. Then take out the tank, empty it and dry it. 4. Keep your hands away from the cavity while it is hot. 5. If PUMP stays on for hours, call us.
Until the water has cooled below 167F. That is usually a matter of minutes after a steam cycle. A very long cycle or a hot kitchen makes it last somewhat longer.
The oven is already off in terms of cooking. Leave the power connected so the pump can finish its work, and the display returns to normal by itself.
If it never clears even after the oven is completely cool, the temperature reading or the pump is not working properly. We would test both, and give a written price first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
