On Bertazzoni built-in bottom-mount refrigerators with a TFT display, such as the REF30BMBIPRT and REF36BMBIXRT, an ice maker that is not producing ice has two checks listed. Make sure the ice maker is switched on, shown by the IceMaker icon, and that the appliance is connected to the water supply. The owner finds an empty ice bin and no ice from the dispenser.
1. Look for the IceMaker icon on the display and press the button to switch the ice maker on. 2. Check that the water shutoff valve behind or near the refrigerator is open. 3. Look at the water line for kinks where the unit was pushed back. 4. Wait 24 hours for the first batch. 5. If there is still no ice, call us.
Press the ice maker button on the control until the IceMaker icon shows on the display. The ice maker also needs a water supply connected to the appliance to produce ice.
The first batch can take up to 24 hours after you switch the ice maker on and connect the water. Throw away the first few batches to flush the line.
Check for a kinked line and a closed valve. If both are fine, the inlet valve or ice maker itself needs a technician; we quote the price in writing first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
