On the Bertazzoni CM242WTXT built-in coffee machine, "Insert brewing unit" means that after cleaning, the infuser has not been replaced. The brewing unit is the removable part where the coffee is brewed, and the machine will not make a cup without it seated. Owners see the message right after cleaning, or when the unit was removed and not locked back in.
1. Switch the machine off before touching the infuser. 2. Rinse the infuser as described for cleaning and let it dry. 3. Slide it back until it seats fully, then close the door. 4. If the message stays with the infuser in place, call us.
It is the removable infuser where ground coffee meets hot water. You take it out for cleaning, and the machine insists on having it back before it will brew.
It may not be fully seated. Remove it, check that nothing blocks the slot, and push it in again until it locks into position. Do not force it; it should slide in without resistance.
Rinse it as the cleaning routine allows and let it dry before reinserting. If you are unsure, skip scrubbing and call us before the unit is damaged.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
