Bertazzoni MAS365ICFEPXT Induction Range Repair

The MAS365ICFEPXT is an older 36-inch induction range in the Master Series, often found in homes where a dedicated 240-volt circuit was run for it and the kitchen has stayed the same since. Because it has been in service a while, the latch and the sensor are the parts that tend to show wear.
A call about an oven that will not heat deserves one quick check before anything is taken apart: the showroom mode setting. When it is on, the controls respond as usual but the heating elements are held off. We look for it first, and turning it off is a matter of a few moments.
After that, we put pans on each induction zone to find one that fails to detect cookware, test the self-clean latch through a lock and release, and compare the oven temperature with a probe. A written price comes before any repair.
One possibility is that showroom mode, a display setting, is turned on, which keeps the elements off while the controls respond. We check that setting first, and if it is off, we test the elements and relays.
Let the oven cool fully first. If the latch still holds, the latch motor or its switch has probably stuck, and we test and replace it so the door releases and locks again on the next cycle.
Each zone has its own sensing and driver. We try a known-good pan, then test that zone's coil and board connection. A single zone failing usually means replacing one part, not the whole glass top.
