On Bertazzoni professional induction cooktops such as the PE244INDXV, PE304INDXV and PE365INDXV, spilled liquid trips the overflow protection and the display shows Et. On the radiant PE304CER, a spill shuts the zones down and shows FC with a beep. In both cases, the cooktop stops heating until you remove the liquid and switch it back on. The cooktop simply refuses to heat while liquid is detected.
1. Switch the cooktop off and take the pan away. 2. Wipe up every drop of liquid from the glass and around the controls. 3. Dry the surface completely with a soft cloth. 4. Switch the cooktop back on; if Et or FC remains on a dry surface, call us.
Induction models in the PE..INDXV series show Et. The radiant PE..CER shows FC and beeps. Both mean the same thing: liquid has triggered the overflow security.
Just remove the spilled liquid and switch the cooktop back on. No special reset is required when the protection tripped because of a spill. No special reset is needed.
On the PE..CER, FC is also a security key error for the on/off receiver. If the glass is clean and dry and FC remains, that is the key circuit rather than a spill, and it needs a technician.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
