Bertazzoni MAS304CEMXV Electric Range Service

Bertazzoni range

Most common issues on this model

  1. One radiant zone slower to heat than its neighbors
  2. Browning that differs from the left side of the oven to the right
  3. A stretch of the 6-pass broiler going dark
  4. Read-out losing a digit
  5. Door motion turning stiff

The MAS304CEMXV is a 30-inch all-electric Master Series range, so it fits the standard slot in a freestanding kitchen with a 240-volt outlet and no gas line. Homes that choose it often want the Italian styling without any gas work, and the 4.7 cu ft oven gets used a lot.

On a visit we measure each of the four radiant zones for output, since a worn element or a tired infinite switch shows up as a zone that lags behind its neighbors. We then bake a tray of biscuits or test with a thermometer to see whether the two convection fans are balancing heat across the cavity.

The 6-pass broiler gets a close look for a burned section, and we work the soft-motion door through its full swing. We give a written price before the work and a 30-day workmanship warranty after it.

MAS304CEMXVMAS304CEMXV questions
Why does one burner on my glass top take so long to heat?

A radiant element that has aged can lose output, and a worn switch can cut its power early. We measure the element resistance and the voltage reaching it, which tells us which part needs replacing.

My food browns more on one side of the oven. Is a fan failing?

Possibly. The oven has two horizontal convection fans, and if one slows or stops, heat piles up on one side. We check both fans for rotation and speed before looking at the sensor or the elements.

The oven door feels stiff when I close it. What causes that?

The soft-motion mechanism uses a damper that can stiffen with age, grease or a slightly bent hinge arm. We inspect and free the mechanism, then check the door seal so the damper is not working against a misaligned door.
