Bertazzoni PM3630GX Griddle Cooktop Repair

The PM3630GX is a 36-inch segmented gas cooktop from the Professional Series with three burners and a griddle. The griddle takes a big share of the width, so the burners are grouped on one side, a layout common on islands where a cook works at both.
Griddles collect baked-on grease, and that grease can creep toward the burner below or the knob stem. We check the griddle for even heat, test its gas valve and make sure nothing blocks the flame path. On the burners, we clean the caps and ports and test the spark. Then we run every control through its range.
If you notice a gas odor, go outside and call the gas utility. Our price is written before any work, and repairs come with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Grease buildup or a partly blocked flame path under that area can reduce heat. We clean the path and test the valve and flame pattern.
Yes. Grease can seep into the control and stiffen the stem. Wipe the area often when it is cool, and call us if the knob feels sticky or does not return to off, so the valve does not fail.
The griddle and the burners have separate valves and igniters. We test the griddle's ignition and its gas supply path on their own, which shows us what stopped it without disturbing the burners that work.
