On Bertazzoni REF30/36BMBI built-in bottom-mount refrigerators, such as the REF36BMBIPRT and REF30BMBIXRT, the TFT display uses two messages for the fresh-food compartment. "Refrigerator Compartment too warm" sends you to the troubleshooting guide. "Refrigerator too cold" tells you to wait 12 hours and ask for service if it persists. Both are the bottom-mount wording of the column messages "Fridge too warm" and "Fridge too cold".
1. Close the door firmly and look for items holding the gasket open. 2. Clear the vents at the back of the compartment. 3. Compare the setpoint on the touchscreen with the recommended value. 4. Change the setpoint by one step only and wait at least 12 hours. 5. Check with a thermometer in a glass of water that the reading falls between 35F and 40F.
"Too cold" asks you to wait 12 hours first. "Too warm" sends you to the troubleshooting steps, which start with the door, the gasket, the vents and the setpoint. Both lead to us if the message stays.
Check the thermometer. If the fresh-food side has sat above 40F for over two hours, throw away dairy, meat and cooked leftovers. Produce and sealed items usually tolerate it better.
The columns and the bottom-mount share the same control logic, but the screen wording differs. The advice is the same: check the basics, wait the stated time, then book a visit for a sensor and cooling check.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
