Bertazzoni MAST304QXE Gas Cooktop Repair

The MAST304QXE is a 30-inch drop-in gas cooktop from the Master Series, normally cut into a counter above a base cabinet or an oven. The sealed burners keep spills on the surface, but sauce and grease still creep into the burner ports over time.
When a burner clicks and will not catch, we look at the cap seating, the port openings and the igniter electrode before anything else. A clean, dry igniter near a properly seated cap is what lights a burner reliably. If several burners click at once, the ignition module and its power feed come next.
If you ever smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. We quote the work in writing first and back repairs with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Most often the cap is sitting slightly off, or spill residue blocks the port next to the igniter. We clean and reseat the cap, check the electrode, and only then test the module.
A steady blue flame with small tips is normal. Yellow or lifting flames point to a dirty port or a seating problem, and we correct that during the visit.
You can lift the cap and clear the port with a soft brush when everything is cool and the knob is off. Avoid pins that widen the port. If the burner still misfires, we can take it from there.
