Bertazzoni French-Door Refrigerator Code E1: Refrigerator Compartment Sensor

What E1 means

E1 points to the refrigerator compartment temperature sensor on three Bertazzoni French-door platforms. On the REF36FDFZXNT with Quattro Temp Zone the sensor has failed, and the code appears in locked mode with an alarm chime. On the REF36FDFIXNV and REF36FDFIXNB, and on the RFD36FZNX and RFD36FZNW, it names the refrigerator room sensor, and the appliance still cools and freezes. Treat the code as a sensor message rather than proof that the food is warm.

A refrigerator compartment sensor with an open or shorted reading
A damaged sensor wire or loose connector in the fresh-food section
Moisture or ice around the sensor
