On current Bertazzoni induction cooktops with TFT and hidden-slider controls, such as the PE304TX, PE365TB, PE304TC, PE304HB and PE365HB, the no pan symbol means the pan has been removed from the cooking zone. The zone stops heating when there is no cookware on it. This is normal behavior and the symbol disappears when suitable cookware is placed back on the zone.
1. Place a flat-bottomed, magnetic pan back in the center of the lit zone. 2. Check that the pan covers the zone marking. 3. Try a magnet on the bottom of the pan. If it does not stick, use a different pan. 4. Wipe the glass clean and dry. 5. If the symbol stays with a good pan in place, call us.
No. It tells you that the pan is gone from the zone, so the heating stopped. Putting suitable cookware back usually clears the symbol at once.
The pan may be off center, too small, or not magnetic. Try a flat magnetic pan centered over the zone marking. If that fails, we can check the zone.
No. Induction only heats when cookware is present, so the zone stops heating when the pan is removed. Put suitable cookware back on the zone and the symbol goes away.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
