On Bertazzoni professional induction cooktops such as the PE244INDXV, PE304INDXV and PE365INDXV, E7 means the cooktop sensor is malfunctioning. The instruction is to contact customer service or a licensed electrician. The cooktop cannot read its own condition, so it stops heating. Owners see E7 on the display and a cooktop that will not run normally. Everything else on the cooktop may look normal until you try to cook.
1. Switch the cooktop off and turn its breaker off for a minute. 2. Restore power and see whether E7 clears. 3. Keep the glass dry and clear of objects. 4. If E7 returns, stop using the cooktop and call us.
E3 reports a short circuit in the cooktop sensor, while E7 reports that the sensor is malfunctioning. Both involve the sensor and both need a technician.
We advise against using it. If the control cannot trust its sensor, any zone may behave unpredictably, so switch it off until it is checked.
Give us the model, such as PE244INDXV, PE304INDXV or PE365INDXV, and the code E7. That lets us plan the sensor test and bring the right parts.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
