Bertazzoni PROF244CTXV 24-Inch Cooktop Service

The PROF244CTXV is a 24-inch electric ceramic cooktop in an older Professional Series design, small enough for condos, guest kitchens and tight counter runs. Four radiant elements sit under frameless glass, and each one is switched on and off by a relay or control that has been cycling for years.
An element that heats only in part, or one that never gets hot, is usually a worn element or a failed switch. We measure each element, test the switch that feeds it and look at the thermal limiter that protects the glass. Scratches from dragging cookware rarely affect heating, but a crack is a reason to cut power and call us.
We give a written price first and cover our work with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
The others may be fine while one has a broken coil or a failed switch. We test each element's resistance and its switch to see which part to replace.
Light scratches are cosmetic. Deep scratches near an element or any crack call for a check, since stress can spread and spills can reach wiring. We inspect the surface at the visit.
It stays on while the glass is still hot. If it fails, we test the sensor and the light circuit so you are not relying on touch to judge heat.
