Bertazzoni PROF30FDEXV self-clean Double Oven Repair

Two self-cleaning convection cavities in a 30-inch frame make up the PROF30FDEXV, a Professional Series double oven for a wall cabinet. Italian construction handles years of use well, but a cleaning latch and two convection fans are mechanical parts, and they do wear.
We test the cavities one after another, timing the heat-up and checking against a thermometer. The elements are measured with a meter, each fan is run and listened to, and the latch is cycled once the oven has cooled. The oven is then closed up and both doors are checked for even closing. A written price is provided before parts are ordered, and repairs are covered by our 30-day workmanship warranty.
Noting which cavity ran the last cleaning cycle helps us decide where to begin, since the cycle is the hardest thing either oven does.
Each cavity has its own door and heating system, and we test both after any latch repair so the cleaning cycle can be used again with confidence.
A weakened element, a sensor reading wrong, or a tired fan. We test each of the three in turn and replace only the part that fails.
A noisy fan can run for a while, but a seizing motor eventually stops circulating air and can overheat. It is better to have the bearing checked while the fan still turns.
