With six positions, wear shows up unevenly. The burner you use for daily coffee may have a different igniter condition than the one you only fire up at holidays. Use a damp cloth with mild dish soap, then dry the area. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the burners or igniters, because liquid can seep into the burner base. A soft brush works for clearing ports.
