Bertazzoni PROFS30XV Convection Wall Oven Repair

A 30-inch Professional Series single convection oven, the PROFS30XV is the plain version of the family: no extras, just a cavity, a fan and two elements. That simplicity leaves four things to check, and we go through all of them.
First, a reference thermometer reading against the oven display. Then the elements, measured with a meter. The convection fan is run and listened to, and the door hinges and gasket are looked over for wear. Written pricing comes before any part is ordered, and the repair carries our 30-day workmanship warranty.
Because there is little to the oven beyond the cavity, a visit is often quick, and we usually have the answer in the first test. We also look at the oven light and the racks while we are there, so small items get done in the same trip.
Most visits begin with a thermometer test and a meter check on the elements and sensor, which usually shows the cause within the first part of the call.
The relay is closing but the circuit to the element is open, or the sensor is giving the control a wrong reading. We test both before replacing a part.
Heat escaping around the door lengthens preheat and baking times, and it warms the cabinet face as well. We inspect the whole gasket and both hinges so the seal closes evenly again.
